Pedraza

Pedraza is a small medieval walled village of great beauty. Take a leisurely stroll among its streets to discover endless chanting nooks and crannies. As you wander, you will come across numerous stately homes and mansions dating from the 16th century and beyond, all very well conserved. There are also still several vestiges of the village's defensive constructions dating from the twelfth and thirteenth centuries, such as the wall, the Puerta de la Villa, the defensive barbican that was later used as a public prison, the castle...

 

At present, the village is home to about 125 inhabitants, all of whom make their living from tourism, such that you can find numerous grill houses and shops selling decorative objects, rustic furniture, crafts, tinwares, bakery goods, chocolates, soaps...
